The Dawn to Dusk run
I wake up so early
Day after day
Well before sunrise
Before the moon’s gone away.
I get up real slow
So I don’t make a sound
And I get ready to run
As my feet hit the ground.
Day after day,
From morning to night
I make my way westward
Fading out of sight.
I get a good breakfast,
And a coffee or two,
But once I start running
I run til I’m through.
Every so often,
There are clouds in the sky,
So I sleep in a bit
Until it opens up wide.
It’s the life of a Sun To run the day through And it’s fun to bring sunshine For someone like you
